Did you purchase a home as a primary residence in Central Texas during 2013? If you did,
remember
to apply for a homestead exemption with your county. You may apply for homestead
exemptions on your principal residence to remove part of your home's value from taxation, so the
homestead exemption will help lower your real estate property taxes.
You may be required to submit a copy of your Texas driver's license and either a copy of your
Texas vehicle registration receipt or a copy of a recent utility bill indicating the address of the property.
Remember to file this form prior to April 30, 2014. Forms are available for several counties in our
